COMPONENTS
Windshields, windows and panoramic panels for special purpose cabs
Windshields, side windows, rear windows and panoramic panels for operator cabs must provide clear visibility in all conditions - including dust, humidity and temperature fluctuations down to -18°C - combined with mechanical strength appropriate to the vehicle's duty cycle.
A weight reduction of up to 40% compared with mineral glass lowers the load on the cab structure and reduces the vehicle's overall weight.
LIRAS Optical manufactures flat, curved or thermoformed components, in monolithic or multilayer configurations, from a drawing, sample or technical specification. Solutions can include provisions for frames, inserts, sensors and digital displays. Available formats reach 3 x 2 meters, making them suitable for panoramic cabs and large glazing panels.

TECHNOLOGIES
Certifications, functional treatments and inspection of transparent components
Components for earthmoving machinery are developed in compliance with ECE R43, ISO 6055 and ISO 3449 FOPS Level II. These standards cover optical quality, operator protection and resistance to impact from falling objects - a specific requirement for forestry, logging and quarrying applications.
Available treatments include scratch-resistant hard coating, anti-fog treatment, UV/IR solar control, micro-wire heating systems for active demisting and defrosting, and functional screen printing.
Every component is produced in-house with full traceability and undergoes optical and visual inspection, dimensional inspection and final testing before delivery.
