Polycarbonate and PMMA headlight covers are engineered transparent components that combine protection, optical quality and controlled light transmission while meeting both technical and styling requirements.

LIRAS Optical manufactures headlight covers from drawings, samples or reverse engineering of existing components, using thermoforming, CNC machining, functional treatments and final optical and visual inspection.

Available materials and configurations

Custom polycarbonate and PMMA headlight covers are developed for the following vehicle and industrial applications.

  • Automotive: headlight covers are manufactured with high optical quality, light transmittance and surface durability, from a drawing or an existing component to be replicated.
  • Motorsport: lightweight polycarbonate light covers are developed rapidly from a team-supplied sample or technical specification.
  • Special vehicles and industrial equipment: covers are manufactured with scratch-resistant coatings and materials selected for weather resistance and are available as technical replacement parts or in low volumes.
  • Aerospace and light aviation: transparent covers are developed with controlled optical quality, low weight and dimensional stability, from an OEM drawing or sample.

Components are available in polycarbonate or PMMA, in flat or thermoformed configurations, with hard coating where specified, and can be developed from a drawing, physical sample or existing part supplied by the customer
