Custom polycarbonate and PMMA rear windows from drawings or samples
A polycarbonate or PMMA rear window offers a significant advantage over conventional mineral glass: with equivalent optical quality and mechanical strength, it provides substantial weight savings, directly benefiting vehicle performance and energy efficiency.
LIRAS Optical manufactures rear windows from drawings, samples or technical specifications, integrating functional treatments such as hard coating, anti-fog treatment and perimeter screen printing, with final optical and visual inspection of every component produced.
FEATURES
Available materials and configurations
Laminated transparent components are developed for the following industries and performance requirements.
- Automotive: rear windows are manufactured with high-quality finishing and seamless integration with the vehicle body and can include perimeter screen printing, hard coating and anti-fog treatment.
- Motorsport: rear windows are optimized for weight reduction and can be developed in low volumes or from a team-supplied sample.
- Special vehicles: rear windows are manufactured with specific treatments to ensure reliable operation under varying climatic conditions and are also available as technical replacement parts for non-standard configurations.
- Marine: rear windows are manufactured in PMMA or polycarbonate with geometries matching the vessel profile and materials selected for resistance to the marine environment.
Components are available in monolithic or laminated configurations, with the option to integrate micro-wire heating for active demisting and defrosting, based on a drawing or physical sample supplied by the customer.
